University of Winchester selects MHR Analytics for their SAP HANA solution

We are delighted to announce that the University of Winchester has recently chosen MHR Analytics to implement the SAP HANA platform on top of their current systems to expand their reporting capability.

Ian Short, Applications Infrastructure Manager at the University of Winchester comments: “We had been looking to implement a data warehouse and MHR Analytics introduced us to SAP HANA – a product that, from our perspective, is both a modern and agile approach to data warehousing and fits well within our business practices.

“We took the decision to upgrade to Business Objects Edge and to purchase SAP HANA to integrate tightly with this in order to gain insight from all of our data sources. Following a tender exercise, we were pleased to select the MHR Analytics team to work with us in these projects. The team were very knowledgeable about the products and instilled confidence in us in their abilities to implement the solutions.”

Nick Felton, Director of MHR Analytics, adds: “The University of Winchester are harnessing the value of data and insight, which is strategically important to the long term success and future growth plans of the University. Traditional Data Warehouse methods can be fraught with challenges and heavy resource needs that are not readily available. MHR Analytics have helped Winchester select a Big Data Appliance, SAP HANA, to help mitigate the risks around speed to query, heavy duty data load processes and integration with SAP Business Objects.

“We are confident that this solution will give the University a real competitive advantage.”
