MHR Unveils New Data Centre

After two years of planning and hard work, we’re delighted to unveil our brand-new, state-of-the-art, environmentally friendly data centre.

Located at Wellington House, MHR’s newest offices, opened recently as part of the company’s £10 million building expansion project, the data centre is another step towards MHR’s ambitious growth plans.

In appearance, the data centre resembles something out of a futuristic sci-fi movie – sleek, ultra-modern and slightly mysterious. In practice, this remarkable setup utilises the latest technologies to provide a cutting-edge data hosting facility. This is good news for customers – the data centre offers even greater security, reliability and assurance for organisations using MHR’s Cloud Hosted Services to run iTrent.

The data centre’s airflow, power systems and cooling are all controlled automatically, resulting in significant power reduction, which minimises the environmental impact.

In the event of a power outage, the facility is backed up by an uninterruptible power supply (UPS), which can keep the system working for up to half an hour, and an immense diesel generator with enough fuel to run for at least 5 days!

MHR’s Director of IT, Ian Price, says: “The opening of the new data centre is part of our long-term commitment to customers to provide them with the best possible environment for supporting their HR and Payroll operations. This is a major investment into this cutting-edge facility, so that we can continue to offer world-class cloud services.”
