It is National Apprenticeship week this week, 14th – 18th March; a celebration of apprenticeships and the positive impact they have on individuals, businesses and the wider economy. MHR is proudly sponsoring an apprenticeship scheme offered by the Royal Horticultural Society, a valued MHR customer. The School of Horticulture and RHS Apprenticeship scheme inspires young people to get involved in horticulture whilst gaining a qualification, enabling them to progress a career in the industry which is facing a skills shortage.
Matthew Jenkins, MHR’s CEO comments, “We are delighted to support the Royal Horticultural Society’s apprenticeship scheme and recognise the importance of equipping people with the skills that employers need. As a business, we are committed to developing our own talent and helping our customers to do the same. We invest in our people through internal development and career progression with 94% of our service teams qualified or studying towards CIPP or CIPD qualifications, and 40% of employees promoted from their original position in the past year.”
