gtd healthcare ensures its People are Fit for the Future with MHR

Primary care provider, gtd healthcare, has chosen MHR’s iTrent for all of its talent management, HR and payroll requirements including performance management, absence management and recruitment. iTrent is also allowing the not for profit provider to offer a bureau service to support GP practices across Greater Manchester, Southport, Formby and South Sefton. Established for over 20 years, gtd healthcare also provides urgent care and out-of-hours dental services in the north west.

gtd healthcare’s partnership with MHR is enabling the healthcare provider to significantly reduce paper processes and implement the very  latest talent management, HR and payroll best practices to support its 500 employees across 20 different sites.

Jane Pugh, Head of Business Services, gtd healthcare, explains: “The benefits of a fully integrated solution are enormous, streamlining our internal processes whilst easing the administrative burden by reducing paperwork and unnecessary duplication of data. Previously, when we needed specific people-related data, it wasn’t as easily accessible or as timely as we would like. iTrent’s  ‘real-time’ reporting has made it much easier to have all the information we need at our fingertips, improving our planning and overall efficiency.  iTrent has also allowed us to operate our payroll bureau much more efficiently, providing a superior service to the three primary care services that we support. ”

The introduction of iTrent Manager and Employee Self-Service has enabled gtd healthcare to automate a number of previously paper-based processes. Management can now access live, accurate data, such as absence management records, quickly and easily whilst employees are able to use the self-service functionality for tasks such as updating personal data, requesting holidays or submitting expenses online.

Pugh continues: “Having all the information we need in one place is helping to standardise how we do things, provide consistency of information and practices, and reduce workloads.  Employees are now able to access and share the information they need to fulfil their roles whilst any potential problems can be quickly identified and managed. We can already see how it has reduced the time previously spent on the handover of information. Our recent Year End was completed nearly a month early this year due to the lack of manual intervention now required. iTrent’s retrospective functionality, for example, means any back-dated changes are handled automatically.”
